Census Subdivisions

Census Subdivisions are one of Statistics Canada's smaller geographical units. Each subdivision is essentially a township, and each may or may not be within a Census Metropolitan Area. Version 1.1 of ArcCanada: The Schools and Libraries Edition contains both the 1991 and 1996 Census Subdivision boundary files. The attribute tables of both data layers contain basic population and dwelling counts. The 1991 Census Subdivisions are associated with the SGC Tables, which contain age, gender and mother tongue cohorts.

The Census Subdivisions were provided by Statistics Canada.
